Hello world,
this is my first post on this blog. I've officially birthed the baby. Like a new mom, I wanted it all to be perfect before I shared it with the world, but nothing is ever perfect or complete, is it?
So, here I am...and I bring you chocolate! No better way to begin reaching for the community I am seeking to create than with chocolate.
As I think about what brought me here: my evolution to heal my body and mind with good nutrition, my desire to connect with others experiencing the same thing, my desire for wellbeing for all, one underlying principle drives me: Pleasure.
And what a better way to celebrate pleasure than with a sweet, gentle cup of hot chocolate that heals the soul and the body all at once!
Enjoy and I hope you like what you find here.
On this rainy, cold day in the Northwest, this is the hot chocolate that warms my heart:
Per serving:
10 oz of vanilla rice milk or unsweetneed vanilla almond milk (if you are watching the sugar)
2 tbsp of Wondercocoa (no sugar, only yummy dark chocolate powder - so fine its is like edible satin)
Sweetener: 2 tsp agave syrup OR 1 packet of Stevia OR 1-2 tsp Xylitol
1 tsp each: cinnamon, nutmeg and matcha (a So. American herb, can be hard to find so omit if you don't have it)
Heat the "milk" on Med heat in a small saucepan. When it is warm to hot, add the powder, stirring briskly to dissolve. Next add the sweetner and stir. Add the spices just before serving. This spices really make it because you get good flavor without needing a lot of sugar.
